Expect performances from local musicians, including Lido Pimienta, Housewife, Ken Whiteley, Western Slang, Lydia Persaud and The Liberation Choir, Maryem Hassan Tollar & Roula Said; plus appearances from former MPP Jill Andrew and Canadian writer Judy Rebick.
And of course you’ll hear from Avi Lewis about his vision for the future of the NDP. People are working harder than ever, yet the basics — food, rent, childcare, medicine — are out of reach while a handful of corporations rake in record profits. Avi’s campaign for leader is about refusing this rotten deal. It’s about uniting movements — for climate justice, Indigenous rights, migrant justice, economic justice, and peace.
