This January, we are going All Out for Avi.

On Saturday, January 24th, join Avi Lewis and special guests for an All Day Phone-a-thon from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm PT | 12:00pm to 10:00pm ET.

Together, we’ll sign up thousands of new NDP members through the phone before the January 28th membership deadline.

Whether you have 20 minutes or 6 hours, drop into our virtual campaign office anytime to meet people from coast-to-coast who are organizing behind the common-sense socialist solutions we urgently need. Use your phones to grow the movement for an NDP that serves the many, not the money.

This is how we will build the future that working people deserve. Not with expensive polls or party insiders, but through persuasive one-on-one conversations with the people in our lives.

If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines or waiting for the right moment to jump in, now is the time. We have less than three weeks to bring thousands of new members into the NDP.

Momentum is on our side. Socialism is the big tent. It’s time to throw the doors wide open and invite everyone to join us.

Special guest appearances include, in order of appearance:

  • Yanis Varoufakis is an academic economist, leader of Greek political party MeRA25, Greece’s former Finance Minister and co-founder the paneuropean movement DiEM25 as well as the Progressive International. His recent book, TECHNOFEUDALISM: What killed capitalism (Penguin 2023 & Melville House 2024), suggests that a new form of capital has usurped capitalism and is behind the New Cold War. His latest book is RAISE YOUR SOUL: A Personal History of Resistance (2025).
  • Moonfruits: Led by partners Alex Millaire and Kaitlin Milroy, Moonfruits live and work on the unceded Territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe (Ottawa). With roots in eastern and southern Ontario, they pen songs in French and English - a reflection of their shared bilingual life - and perform in Canada, Europe and the US for heart-forward music lovers of all stripes.
  • Lance of the Serfs: Lance is a Métis comedian and entertainer and the founder of the Serfs worker co-operative. He's currently the largest Canadian political show on Twitch and has interviewed the likes of Marianne Williamson, Slavoj Zizek, Hasan Piker, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Brandi Morrin. He produces content for a series of channels that focus of political comedy from a leftist perspective.
  • Libby Davies represented Vancouver East—Canada's poorest postal code—as an NDP MP from 1997 to 2015. Before that, she witnessed the devastating Liberal austerity cuts of the 1990s from the ground: as a community organizer in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, as a Vancouver city councillor and a housing activist. In 1997, she ran for federal Parliament—and won. As NDP House Leader in 2005, she negotiated a landmark deal: $4.6 billion in restored social program funding, including $1.6 billion for affordable housing. Later, as Deputy Leader and Health Critic, she fought the Harper government's austerity budgets and corporate tax giveaways.
